Pamukkale
Pamukkale is a town which is located in the city of Denizli at western of Turkey. There are lots of hot water springs in this area.
The most famous tourist attraction in the town is Pamukkale Travertines. They were formed as the hot water from springs which has rich calcium hydro carbonate loses its warmth and gives carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide to the air, as a result the calcium carbonate is precipitated.
The other tourist attraction is Hierapolis. It is an ancient Roman spa city that founded around 190 B.C.
Pamukkale has around 2 million visitors every year. Travertines and Hierapolis are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.
