The first settlements on the lands on which Turkey is located were worked by societies such as the Aeol Dor and Ionians, Thracians and Persians in the Paleolithic Age. III. With the Alexandros period, the Hellenistic period followed, then the Roman and Byzantine periods. In the 11th century, as a result of the settlement of the Seljuks in Anatolia, the Turkization movement on the lands and the victory after the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, the Byzantine rule in Anatolia lost its power.
